It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of life member Webster Trotter Sr. He Held many position including Treasurer and Director. His Wife, a daughter and two sons are also members. Members of the Belvedere Fire Co. will miss him.

NFD COVER-UP WITH SOME TOOL TIME

Rescue 30 with crew of five went down to Aetna HH&L Sta. 9 for a cover assignment. The City of Newark was celebrating there 250th anniversary. The crew ran 5 calls including a MVC with a rollover. Crews extracted one. Thank you Again for the invite.

Today a crew of five with 305 went down to cover Aetna H.H.&L. Co. while they were at training. The crew started off with a mvc no less then 2mins at station 9. Crews also ran a afa & CPR. Thank Newark FD for the invite and the wonderful hospitality. Looking forward to the next one.

 
   
   
 
LODD IN OUR RELIANCE 61 1ST DUE

The Belvedere Vol. Fire Co. would like to give our condolences to the family & Lower Chichester Fire Company (Sta.39) for there lost of LT. Nick Picozzi Jr. Station30 was dispatched to cover our brothers and sisters of Reliance 61. The squrt responded with a crew of 5. It ended in a 3 alarm fatal fire with other injuries. Our hearts go out to all of our brothers and sisters who risk there lives in the line of work that we do.

WORKING HOUSE FIRE WITH MAYDAY SOUNDED

Around 07:30, Stations 17, 23, 16, 30 was alerted to the 500 Block Homestead Rd. for a building fire. Fire board then upgraded to a working alarm. Units went onscene with smoke showing. Rescue 30 quickly made the response with 4 and squrt responded a few minutes later with a crew of 4. As crews were making attack, fire conditions intensified and burn through there attack line. A mayday was then issued. a R.I.T. team was activated. A seven firefighters were transported to CER. B-30 was put in to service with a crew along with station 30 with additional personal a total of 14. Thanks Eng222 for the cover! Station 30 wishes our fellow brothers a speedy recovery.

FIRST DAY OF THE YEAR BRING IN 1 FIRE AND 1 BLS RUN

As the clock strike 12 bringing in 2008. Members hanging out together at the station. At 00:37hrs, stations 17 E23, E16, R30 was dispatched to a house fire. Squrt 30 made the response in place of Rescue 30 with a crew of 6. Squrt 30 arrived and staged on a plug. While crew was staging B-30 was toned out for an assualt.

 
 
MVC WITH A ROLLOVER

Around 17:24, The station along with A-16, Medic 7 was alerted to Newport gp/ Stanely ave for a mvc with a rollover. Rescue 30 made the response with a crew of 5. Up arrival, crew found a pick-up truck on its side. A trailer with a mini backhoe was involed also that was tipped on its side. A-16 and B30 trasported 1 to cer with medics. 308 (D.Moyer) had command.

ENGINE AND RESCUE RESPOND TO ASSIST THE CREEK

Around 17:25, Sta. 30, 19, 14 was dispatched to assist 2-21 on a building fire at Mckean High School after a fm unit went onscene with a burning odor and alarm bells sounding. 305 quickly made the response with a crew of Five. 305 arrived as first engine onscene and was told to take the rear and standy-by the pluge. Tower 19 and R14 also took the rear. R30 made the response also with a crew of 5. Units investigated with Negative results.

 
   
   
 
PUMP TRAINING
